4th December, 2020: Tenet, the much-awaited Christopher Nolan’s film is set to premiere in 85% of PVR screens. PVR Cinemas, India’s largest and the most premium film exhibitor with a portfolio of 835 screens in 175 properties operating in 71 cities across the country announced the screening of the Sci-fi action-thriller film on 4th December, 2020. Being the first blockbuster to release after the post-covid lockdown, the movie has seen a significantly high advance booking and theatres are now gearing up to welcome movies goers in large numbers once again.
Shot on the most advanced IMAX technology, the film promises an immersive experience. In an effort to provide members with an opportunity to enjoy the big release to the fullest and as part of the Tenet blitz campaign, PVR is running an exclusive IMAX Free Upgrade offer for members, at regular format ticket price.
In honour of the film’s critically acclaimed director PVR recently organised the Nolan Film Festival. Commenting on Tenet’s release on the big screen, which is also available in the PVR CINEMAS’ Facebook page, Christopher Nolan said, “I am absolutely thrilled that you are going to get an opportunity to experience Tenet on a big screen. We shot the film on large-format IMAX film in some of the most spectacular places in the world, including Mumbai where we were able to shoot what I considered to be some of the most exciting scenes in the film. Some of which are with the great Dimple Kapadia. We had an amazing time shooting in India. And it means so much to me that you are all going to finally see Tenet on the big screen. So, I hope you enjoy it and thank you very much.”
In addition to brand Nolan’s ability to draw crowds, his collaboration with well-known and much-admired Indian talent – Ms. Dimple Kapadia is cited as another reason for the massive interest in the film.
By stringently adhering to health and safety protocols PVR ensures that customers stay safe as well as breathe healthy by maintaining optimum indoor air quality at the movies by adopting measures like increased intake of fresh air, deep sanitization conducted before the start of the shows, maintaining temperature and humidity levels and social distancing seating.
